B. Internal valve view in SEM. A prominent marginal annulus is visible. The valve face central area contains both domed cribra and central strutted processes (csp). The central strutted processes are arranged in a ring. The labiate process (lp) is present at the valve face margin, and is typically single in this species. Marginal strutted processes (msp) are present on every fifth to sixth costa. The openings of true chambers of type B 1 are present on the valve mantle. Scale bar equals five microns.
