B. Internal valve view in SEM. The tangentially undulate valve face central area is visible. Central strutted processes are generally located in the internally depressed portion of the valve face central area. Cribra are absent in this species. The labiate process is located on the valve mantle and generally occurs singularly in this species. The marginal strutted processes are visible and occur on every second to third costa. Scale bar equals ten microns.
