B. Internal valve view in SEM. A single central strutted process is present slightly off the valve center. The central strutted process generally occurs singularly in this species. The marginal strutted processes are present near the mantle area base. The labiate process (lp) is present on the valve mantle and generally occurs singularly in this species. The weakly domed appearance of the cribra is also apparent in this image, and the cribra are arranged in fascicles. Scale bar equals five microns.
